To support the operational activities of waste management in Ramzan Bazaars, Albayrak Waste Management is also carrying out special awareness drives. Communications team of Albayrak visited Makkah Colony Ramzan Bazaar and distributed waste bags and awareness material among the shopkeepers and the visitors. A special radio campaign is also being carried out to urge the citizens to dispose of their waste properly.
On operational front, the staff is deputed in Ramzan Bazaars for waste lifting and manual sweeping in three shifts. 14 Ramzan Bazaars fall in Albayrak area in Lahore. In each of these bazaars, depending upon the need, 10 to 15 sanitary workers have been deputed. These workers have been provided with the new uniforms and are equipped with necessary personal protective equipment. Special small waste bins have been installed in bazaars to facilitate shopkeepers and visitors. New containers have been placed outside all these Ramzan Bazaars.
