Albayrak arranged inauguration ceremony of its newly imported machinery in its workshop 2 on Friday. The ceremony coincided with the closing event of ‘Workers’ Training and Discussion Sessions’ which started on May 16, 2016.
The machinery, imported from Turkey, includes electrical sweepers and compactors. The electrical sweepers have been imported in Pakistan for the very first time. These handy machines will be particularly useful in cleaning footpaths whereas 10 new compactors will add to the existing fleet of waste lifting machinery.
Speaking on the occasion, Project Coordinator Albayrak Bahri Tursakoz said that Albayrak keeps on importing modernized machinery to meet the waste management needs of rapidly urbanizing Lahore.
MD LWMC Bilal Mustafa Syed addressed the closing ceremony of annual workers’ training and discussion sessions. He said that he is proud to lead the hardworking team of sanitary workforce whose efforts keep the city clean and green.
Project Director Albayrak Cagri Ozel said that the training sessions of Albayrak workforce have brought to light the problems which our sanitary workers face daily in the field. He said that Albayrak and the LWMC will leave no stone unturned in resolving these issues.
Manager Landfill site LWMC Adeel Pervaiz and Manager Operations LWMC Ali Bajwa also gave detailed lectures to the sanitary workers on health and safety measures.
