In order to make cleanliness operations and advocacy drives more effective, Albayrak teams are reaching out to public representatives on daily basis to seek their feedback and cooperation. Two such meetings were arranged with Deputy Mayor Wasim Qadir and UC Chairman Faiz Rasul in their respective offices. The two sides agreed to enhance cooperation for effective implementation of waste management plan.
Speaking on the occasion, Project Director Albayrak Cagri Ozel said that special operations and advocacy drives are being carried out on daily basis. He further said that the areas like Faiz Bagh and China Scheme are especially targeted keeping in mind the waste generation in these places. He added that owing to special focus of Albayrak in these areas, very limited number of complaints is received on 1139 from these areas which are being addressed on daily basis. Mini dumper, compactor and other machinery is regularly working in the area. Sweeping and washing in and around mosques and graveyards are carried out on weekly basis. However, keeping in view the suggestions and recommendations of the public representatives, a more effective plan would be devised to ensure further improvement in the waste management system, Mr Ozel added.
