Following the delegation of power to local government representatives, Albayrak Waste Management Company, along with Lord Mayor, Deputy Mayors and the LWMC officials has started special cleanliness cum awareness activities in different areas of Lahore with special focus on rural parts of the city. In this regard, operational and awareness activities were carried out in the areas of Kamahan, Karool Ghati and Misri Shah on Thursday. Lord Mayor Mubashir Javed, MPA Ghazali Salim Butt and Deputy Mayors Rao Shahabuddin and Mushtaq Mughal joined these awareness activities and visited the awareness camps setup by Albayrak teams. They urged the public to cooperate with the sanitary staff and waste management teams to ensure cleaner surroundings. Speaking on the occasion, Albayrak spokesperson said that special activities are being arranged from one corner of Lahore to the other on daily basis so that waste management issues could be addressed by taking in confidence the local representatives of the area.
