Albayrak Waste Management carried out its cleanliness awareness drive in and around Jamia Mosque Siddique Akbar, Faiz Bagh on Friday. Deputy Mayor Wasim Qadir joined the activity and requested the imam of the mosque Allama Muhammad Farooq Qadri to underline the importance of cleanliness in his sermons. Wasim Qadir said that mosques are our elementary institutions and imams of the mosques are elders of our community. The imams should highlight the social responsibilities to bring change in the attitude of the citizens, he added. The communications team of Albayrak had setup an awareness camp in the area. They distributed awareness brochures among the locals. An awareness walk, led by Senior Manager Operations Mesut Deveci was also arranged prior to the activity. The walk ended at Jamia Mosque where the participants headed to offer prayers.
